Three people were injured—none thought to be serious—in a three-vehicle accident Friday evening in Flat. Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Jackie Ford reported 77-year-old Dwayne Smith, of Flat, driving a 2000 Toyota Tundra, had stopped on Highway 36 to make a left turn. Smith’s truck was struck from behind by a 2000 Honda van driven by Terri Wood, 58, of Gatesville. The impact pushed Smith’s vehicle into the northbound lane where it collided with a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Juana Paredes, 65, of Flat. Paredes and Wood were transported by ambulance to Coryell Memorial Hospital for treatment and Smith was taken by private vehicle.
