KayDee Sexton lines up a shot with a .223 rifl e during the 4-H Hunter Safety Camp held recently at the Texas Game Warden Training Center in Hamilton County. Sexton, a member of the Spurs-NBridles 4-H Club, was named the top camper.

Members of the Coryell City 4-H Club recently volunteered at the Coryell City/Osage Fire Department’s annual fi sh fry. 4-H members made homemade desserts, helped set up, serve and clean up at the event, as well as donated items for the silent auction. Members of the 4-H club also participated in fund-raising efforts for the department by selling tickets for a drawing that was held during the event. The “Wall of Honor” was unveiled Thursday evening during a ceremony at the Gatesville Civic Center ballfields. Recreation director Sammy Cockrell, far right, introduced the honorees who are still living.
