Moore named MVP at basketball banquet

Gatesville depended on Tobias Moore for big plays in tournament title games early in the season and again in the playoffs.

After leading the team in several categories and raking in postseason honors, the Gatesville senior was named the boys’ basketball Most Valuable Player Tuesday during the team banquet at a local restaurant.

    Fire Ant tour back again

    Another year has come and gone, but locals keep riding for a cause.

    Riders will benefit a scholarship fund for Gatesville High School students at the 18th Annual Fire Ant Tour on Saturday, June 8 at the Gatesville Civic Center (formerly the Coryell Activities Complex).

    McKamie upgrades 'preliminary'

    Addison Santulan has trained in Gatesville’s McKamie Stadium, like hundreds of Hornet athletes before him, for years to help the athletic program in the upcoming season.

    With discussions at several recent Gatesville ISD board meetings involving the installation of a new artificial turf football field and more renovations, Santulan said he would approve the changes.
