Why does the city pool and splash park close after Labor Day? It is still warm enough for kids, who are not yet in school, to go and have fun.
A:
The city pool actually closed before Labor Day because the lifeguards went back to school. In the past, the city has kept the pool open on weekends through September, but it was not utilized by the public. The splash park is still open and will remain open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily until at least Oct. 1, but could remain open longer, depending on the weather.
