A vibrant young girl, smiling from ear to ear, and her excited mother stood on the sidelines as football players stormed back onto the field.
Natalie Clawson, Gatesville class of 1982, and daughter Lena, a second grader at Gatesville Elementary, stood to honor the late John Washburn at halftime of Gatesville’s 24-8 win Sept. 14 over Waco Connally.
