April 16, 1948–September 27, 2012

Ronald Emerson Poston, age 64, of Gatesville, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012, at a Waco hospital.

Memorial services were at 5 p.m., Monday, October 1, 2012, at First Baptist Church of Gatesville with Dr. Willie Clarke officiating.

Ronald was born on April 16, 1948, in Gatesville to the late Walter E. (Cub) and Yvonne Bartlett Poston. He graduated from Gatesville High School in 1966. Ronald received his Bachelor of Science in Sociology from University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 1972. He owned and operated a farming and ranching operation and was a real estate investor. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Gatesville.

He was preceded in death by his son, Michael E. Poston, in 2000.

Ronald is survived by his love of 15 years, Karen Wilkinson; daughter, Brandy Poston; four grandchildren, Koby Chrisner, Keegan Chrisner, Kirstin Poston and Vivian Poston; and one great-grandson, Landon Chrisner.

Memorials may be made to Gatesville Boys and Girls Club, 206 South 7th Street, Gatesville, Texas 76528.
