Watching from the stands as the Hornets defend their homecourt, fans will immediately notice a girl with a thunderous kill shot, an unnerving work ethic and a smile that lights up the entire gym after each point scored by Gatesville.
What may not be as obvious, is that volleyball was not the first love for senior hitter Ashley Cook.
