July 26, 1918–October 24, 2012

Mary Alice Montgomery, 94, of Gatesville, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today (Saturday), Oct. 27, 2012, at Restland Cemetery.

Mrs. Montgomery was born on July 26, 1918, in Emporia, KS, to the late John H. and Mary Boone Walters. She attended Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia. She was a bookkeeper for 50 years in the automotive and lumber business. She was a member of the Gatesville Country Club and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and she was a V.F.W. Auxiliary hospital volunteer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harel Montgomery; and son, Mike Montgomery.
