Gatesville physician Dr. J.D. Sheffield swept to an easy victory Tuesday to become the new Texas House District 59 representative.
Sheffield, who had defeated six-term incumbent Sid Miller in the Republican Primary, carried all nine counties in the district by a large margin to defeat Democrat Bill Norris.
