Q:

If a tree in my neighbor’s yard is blown down by a storm and damages my property, who is responsible for the damage and cleanup?

A:

Local insurance agent Bill Herridge said the neighbor is not responsible for what is considered an act of God. Homeowners insurance for the person whose property has been damaged, minus any deductible, should cover the cost of repairs and cleanup.
