December 24, 1930–December 6, 2012

B.R. Brasher, age 81, of Gatesville, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012.

Graveside services were at 4 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2012, at Turnersville Cemetery with Minister A.C. Painter officiating.

B.R. was born on December 24, 1930, in Turnersville, Texas, to the late Wyatt and Ernestine Laxson Brasher. He was raised and went to school in Moshiem. B.R. served in the Air Force in 1950-1951. He was employed with General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth, retiring after 43 years. B.R. was song leader at Harmony Baptist Church. He was a member of Normandale Baptist Church in White Settlement.

He was preceded in death by his daughters, Brenda Allen and Donna Lancaster; son, Kenneth Brasher; and sister, Alice Hart.

B.R. is survived by his son, Jeffery Brasher and wife, Debbie, of Alabama; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Joyce Ashcraft and Juanita Snow, both of Gatesville.
