November 23, 1930-December 7, 2012

Wanda Louise Walker, age 82, of Gatesville, passed away Friday, December 7, 2012, at a local nursing center surrounded by her family.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at Restland Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Bogan officiating.

Wanda was born November 23, 1930, in Florence, Texas. She was the daughter of James W. McElroy and Minnie Ray McElroy. She married Elwood Walker in 1962. Wanda worked as a secretary for the Coryell County Auditor, Powell Supply and Miller Motors. She also worked as a guard for TDCJ. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, Jason Neel; two brothers; and five sisters.

Survivors include daughters, Brenda Crawford and Lynda Neel and husband, Bubba; sisters, Patsy Blanchard and Janice Caudle; grandchildren, Sammy Crawford and wife, Jennifer, and Brandie Wallace and husband, Chris; great-grandchildren, Dalton Woodall, Gill Wallace, Marty Wallace, Gage Crawford and Gaven Crawford.
