After topping the final Texas Girls Coaches Association poll of 2012, the Lady Elks opened their District 28-1A slate with a convincing 75-22 win at Oglesby.
Evant (15-0, 1-0) had a stellar performance from junior guard Lindy Burks, who nearly recorded a quadruple double.
