Gatesville found out that where teams finish matters more than the first three quarters.
Leading all but one minute of Friday’s District 8-3A opener at home against Lampasas, the Hornets could not stop Lady Badgers guard Julie Mize from scoring 14 points in an 18-point fourth quarter, including the falling-away jumper with eight second left to play that handed Gatesville a 26-25 loss.
