Saturday delivery of mail to be cut

The United States Postal Service announced plans Wednesday to transition to a new delivery schedule during the week of Aug. 5, 2013, that includes package delivery Monday through Saturday, and mail delivery Monday through Friday.
With subscribers of The Gatesville Messenger receiving their papers through the mail, options are being studied to see how to best address the situation. One option being looked at closely is moving the Saturday issue to a Friday issue, although no decision has been made yet.
