Mary Nadine Swindall, 73, of Harker Heights, passed away at her home with her family by her side February 4, 2013. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 7, 2013, at Gatesville Funeral Home Chapel.
Nadine was born August 3, 1939, to the late John McLearen and Ada Thompson McLearen. She and her husband, Skeeter, owned and operated the Swindall’s Service Station on Highway 84 in Oglesby. She worked hard, cared for her family, served her neighbors and lovingly tended her yard and flowers.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Blanton Henry “Skeeter” Swindall; two sisters, Dorothy Rhoads and Bea Dempsey; and one brother, Henry McLearen.
She is survived by a son, Robert Beechner and wife, Katherine; two daughters, Dena Bell and husband, Jerry, and Karen Dick and husband, Andy; two sisters, Louise Dooley and Bonnie Hill and husband, Ronnie; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
