In a match that seemed destined to go five games, the Gatesville Hornets turned up the heat to sweep the Taylor Ducks.
Tuesday night, during their Big Sting game, the Hornets played exponentially better each game to complete the three-game sweep.
The win vaulted Gatesville back above .500 with a 15-14 mark on the season.
The first game gave the impression that the teams were so evenly matched that the contest would be extended to five games.
