Kinsley attends 4-H competition in Amarillo

Kinsley McPherson traveled to Amarillo this past week with the Coryell County 4H Senior Horse Judging Team. Kinsley placed 6th high individual, and the team placed second overall.  While in Amarillo, the team visited West Texas A & M University, the Cadillac Ranch, the American Quarter Horse Association Museum, and Palo Duro Canyon. The team is coached by Becky Coward, 4H Extension Agent.

Dave and Netta Westrup of Washington spent a few days in Mound over the weekend with Martha Ann Lawhorn.

Valerie Ferrell and Carolyn Blakley had lunch in Gatesville Thursday.

Robert and Emma Blakley visited Sunday in Pearl with Mrs. Bettie Blakley.

Jakson Tippit celebrated his senior homecoming with the Oglesby Parade and Community Pep Rally.  Oglesby beat Gholson 58-8m for Homecoming.  Seniors were honored Friday morning with a Senior Sunrise Breakfast.

Kelly Casey, of Frisco, and her mother, Mrs. Eric (Liz) McCorkle, have returned home after a trip to Tampa, FL. While there, they visited Kelly Casey’s sister, and with her mother, Liz McCorkle’s daughter, Lara McCorkle. They all went sightseeing on several beautiful beaches and they enjoyed going kayaking in Florida.

Those who have birthdays this weekend are Jackie Pate, Diane Heavin, Courtney Shoaf, and Patrick Hopson.
