Mound lost one of our neighbors on Aug. 20

Mound lost one of its residents. Mrs. Vonny Allene Harris died on Tuesday, Aug. 20. Memorial services were held Wednesday at White Mound Baptist Church. Vonny was the wife of Mr. Ronald Harris and granddaughter-in-law of Mrs. Elizabeth Harris. Vonny will truly be missed in our community.

David and Pam Hopson attended a funeral service for Mr. Robert Garth Wall on Monday in Gatesville at the First Methodist Church.

Dwight and Nancy Suson, David and Pam Hopson, Zach, Amanda, Aubree, and Olivia Long attended Montana Johnson’s third birthday in Gatesville Saturday afternoon. This year, the theme was “Winnie the Pooh.” The party was given by her parents, Barton and Chelsea Johnson.

Mrs. Tammy Roe of Nemo spent a few days in Gatesville with her mother, Mrs. Beth Haines, and visited in Mound with David and Pam Hopson.

Robert, Carolyn, and Emma Blakley went with several people from Gatesville to Fredericksburg for the weekend and went to the horse races and went shopping.

Several people from Mound attended “Meet the Hornets” Wednesday evening at the Tommy Davidson Field at McKamie Stadium in Gatesville.

Those who had birthdays this month were Blayze Fisher, Gaylene Smith, Santanna Bay, Neil Fisher, Chris Miller, Emily Hanus, Marty Foster, Bobby McHargue, Sherry Nichols, Hian Davidson, Kathy Zacha, Frank Jaworski, Miranda Allison, Nancy Botkins, Brian McCorkle, Kyle McClellan, Jana Latham, Rene Mitchell, Sissy Leonard, Robert Fowler, Grayson Petty, Lois Fulton, Liz McCorkle, Elizabeth Schoenewolf, Shilah Heavin, Jozie Wolff, Julia Kay Dixon, and Jonathan Schoenewolf.
