Oglesby JV Red team wins 20-0

The Oglesby JV Red football team defeated the Eagle Christian Eagles 20-0 on Thursday, Sept. 12, in Oglesby.

The young Tigers played well, stopping the Eagles from scoring, the Tigers were all over the field gang tackling the Eagles and cutting off any chance for the Eagles to score. 

Offensively for the Tigers

Callen Webb led all rushers with 10 carries for 110 yards and one touchdown. Webb was 1-2 passing hitting a 27-yard pass to Camden Webb. And two points-after-touchdown (PAT’S) to Ashton Thompson. 

Kegan Redford had four carries for 49 yards and one touchdown. 

Jayce Aaron had one carry for three yards. 

Blayze Fisher had three carries for four yards. 

Paydon Garrett had one carry for one yard. 

Camden Webb had one reception for a 27-yard touchdown. 

Ashton Thompson had two receptions for two PAT’S.

Akrum Abdulwahab and #77 Jaxon Botkin also saw playing time.

Defensively for the Tigers

Callen Webb had seven tackles, Javon Howard had six tackles, Camden Webb had four tackles, one interception, and one knocked down pass; Kegan Redford had six tackles, Couper Wulfkhule had two tackles, Jayce Aaron had six tackles, and Paydon Garrett had one tackle. 

The JV Red team hosted Abbott on Sept. 19 at 6:30 p.m. The results will be published in the Saturday, Sept. 28 edition of The Gatesville Messenger.
