Upcoming election dates

The Nov. 5 election is quickly approaching, and deadlines for voter registration and early voting begin next month. Here are a few dates to keep in mind:

Voter registration

The deadline to register to vote is Oct. 7. Texas law requires that eligible voters register 30 days before Election Day.

Register to vote by filling out a voter registration application on votetexas.gov. Residents can update their voter registration information online or when renewing their Driver’s License. 

Residents can check their registration status or change their name or address by visiting the ‘My Voter Portal’ through the Texas Secretary of State’s website or votetexas.gov.

Early voting dates

• Oct. 21-25, 2024: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• Oct. 26, 2024: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
• Oct. 27, 2024: 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• Oct. 28-31, 2024: 7 a.m. – 7p.m.
• Nov. 1, 2024: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Early voting polling locations in Coryell County:

• Gatesville Annex, 800 E. Main St., Ste B, Gatesville TX 76528
• Copperas Cove Early Voting Center 508 B Cove Terrace, Copperas Cove TX 76522

Election Day polling locations

Residents can vote at any county-wide location on Nov. 5 regardless of the precinct. Voting locations will open on Election Day from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
