Emma Beth honored on birthday

Little Miss Emma Beth Hopson was honored on her 2nd birthday Saturday evening at the home of her grandparents, David and Pam Hopson. The celebration was given by her parents and brothers and sister, Paul, Rachel, Noah, and Benjamin Hopson.

Noah Truett and Benjamin Travis Hopson went with their grandmother, DeElva Grubb, to spend a few days in LaVernia, Texas at the home of Matt and Kaylee Edwards.

Miss Allie McPherson went with the Gatesville Coryell Community Church Youth Camp for a week at Latham Springs Camp and Retreat Center in Aquilla. The group returned home last Thursday.

Jennifer Mann took 26 kids and six sponsors from Mound Cowboy Church and White Mound Baptist Church to Kidz Kamp at Latham Springs and Retreat Center in Aquilla for a few days. The group returned home Monday.

The Quebe sisters, Grace, Sophia, and Huda, of Dallas, will perform Sunday, July 21, at the White Mound Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the entertainment. They are the cousins of Mrs. Martha Lawhorn, of Mound.

Doris Hoff, of Gatesville, visited during the week in Mound with Martha Lawhorn.

Mrs. Melba Stephens is staying for a while at the home of Ray and John Stephens.

Holly Jones of Gatesville, Jagger and Newman, Kelby, and Sterlin Shults visited Monday afternoon with Don and Sue Jones.

Scott, Kelby, Sterlin Shults, Case, Kristen, and Paxton Brack Jones had Sunday lunch with Don and Sue Jones.

Julia Kay Dixon will be a freshman at Liberty Hill High School for the 2024-25 school year.

Brooke Nicole Dixon will go into sixth grade at Liberty Hill Middle School for the 2024-25 school year.

Reese Kelly Dixon will go into third grade at Louine Noble Elementary School for the 2024-25 school year.

Ruby Caroline Pullen will be a freshman at Providence Academy High School in Rock Wall for the 2024-25 school year.

Carolyn and Emma Blakley spent a week in Port Aransas.

Elli, Jenson, and Molli Kinnear enjoyed having their cousins Jackson Kinnear, Samuel Shepherd, and Malachi Shepherd over the week. They enjoyed fun in the sun and cousin shenanigans.

Debbie Piller celebrated her birthday on July 13. She spent the afternoon with Mandi Fisher and Jennifer Miller. They had dinner in town with her family attending.
