Several people of Mound attended the TMEA, Texas Music Scholar Award, which was bestowed at the Choir Banquet April 27. The recipients were sophomores Eli Alvarez, Nahdiah Appleton, Nevin Benning, Roman Wallace, and Paisley Wells; juniors Devyn Ayala, Raynyah Garraway, Katie Hopson, Memphis Wells; and senior Anna Phillips. They were all nominated by their directors, Cherith Wells and Tim Klingler, but the award was given by the Texas Music Educators. This award is given to students who exhibit outstanding qualities for the school year.
