Gatesville Independent School District will host various sports camps throughout the summer, including basketball, tennis, football, softball, volleyball, wrestling, and soccer.
Each camp will be directed by a high school or junior high coach and will be assisted by high school varsity athletes.
There will be opportunities to learn fundamentals and techniques, as well as Hornet schemes and terminology.
A concession stand will be available during practices.
2024 summer camps
Volleyball: Monday, July 8 to Wednesday, July 10 will be from 8:30 -11:30 a.m. and will be for first through ninth grade student-athletes. The cost will be $40 per person.
Wrestling: Monday, July 15 to Friday, July 19, will be from 8:30-9:30 a.m. and will be for first through ninth grade. The cost will be $40 per athlete.
Football: Monday, July 29 to Wednesday, July 31, will be from 7:30-10:30 a.m. and will be for seventh through ninth grade. The cost will be $40 per athlete.
Soccer: The date is TBA (to be announced) as well as the cost. First through sixth grade will be in the spring and fall, and seventh through twelfth grade will be on Sunday afternoons during September and October.
Hornet SWARM speed strength and condition sessions
SWARM camp for seventh and eighth grade athletes began on Wednesday, June 3 and will continue through Thursday, July 25. The sessions will be from 8:15-9:15 a.m., and the cost is free for all athletes.
SWARM camp for ninth through twelfth grade athletes began on Wednesday, June 3 and will continue through Thursday, July 25. It will be from 7-8 a.m., and the cost is free for all athletes.
