GISD receives donations from Education Foundation

All throughout this past week, the Gatesville Education Foundation has made its way to each campus within the Gatesville Independent School District to distribute various donations to its educators.

The donations are intended to be used for grant funding. The foundation received 47 applicants and was able to provide 27 teachers with $27,000 total.

Each campus was provided with the following:

Gatesville Primary School

Tami Hoover was awarded $800 and was also given $2,000.

Candice Campbell was awarded $555 to create a school resource closet.

Jana Richardson was awarded $1,555 for iPads, cases, and headphones.

Arianna Contreras and Delilah Martin were awarded $778 for sensory resources regarding language acquisition.

Gatesville Elementary School

Annie May was awarded $2,455 for a mightier heart monitoring curriculum.

Ashley Swodeck was awarded $800 for Homestead Heritage and was also given $500 to create a classroom library.

Taylor Brown was awarded $190 for additions to a classroom library.

Victoria Skiles was awarded $500 to create a classroom library.

Kennedie Hyde was awarded $500 to create a classroom library.

Morgan Keeton was awarded $500 to create a classroom library.

Kay McCraken was awarded $1,515 for weekly readers.

Amanda Wolff was awarded $800 for math manipulatives.

Gatesville Intermediate School

Krista Moreland was awarded $1,300 for dissection lab supplies, as well as owl pellets and frogs.

Jennifer Campbell was awarded $1,480 for a 3D printer and supplies.

Candi Garvin was awarded $650 for library books in Spanish.

Angela Saldivar was awarded $175 for a set of novels.

Emily Yarbrough was awarded $970 for social studies magazines.

Gatesville Junior High

Wendy Bye was awarded $200 for resin pour art.

Bill Bryant was awarded $900 for science focused field trips.

Denise Jones was awarded $1,000 for additions to a classroom library.

Sarah Wright was awarded $300 for a weekly magazine.

Stacy Kyle-Rommel was awarded $2,300 for Texas history resources.

Ericha Stephens was awarded $600 for multimodal headphones.

Gatesville High School

Kassandra Withrow was awarded $2,500 to create a Stinger ink-printing service.

Charles Conley was awarded $1,200 for materials regarding a year-long senior project.

Sara Olvera was awarded $507 for a Flangoo online subscription.
