Hardcastle, Kirkelie vows exchanged in Gatesville

Anna Jo Hardcastle, of Gatesville and Ethan Drew Allen Kirkelie, of Temple, exchanged wedding vows in a double ring ceremony on Saturday, April 27, at Windmill Hill Venue in Gatesville.

Officiating was Robert Camenisch, grandfather of the groom.

The bride is the daughter of Steve and Gwendy Hardcastle, of Gatesville, and the granddaughter of Gene and Gina Winkler, of Louisiana, and David and Barb Hardcastle, of Colorado.

The bridegroom is the son of Bob and Julia Kirkelie, of Temple, and the grandson of Robert and Kay Camenisch, of Tennessee.

Wedding music included the acoustic guitar played by Isaac Winkler and soloist Meredith Winkler – both cousins of the bride.

The outside ceremony featured an arbor decorated with white and purple florals.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal dress that was heavily beaded featuring a square neckline and jeweled spaghetti straps. Three-dimensional iridescent flowers embossed the bodice and full skirt that swept into a 3-foot train. Her fingertip length veil was edged in matching iridescent jewels. She carried a bouquet of varying shades of purple roses that included a handkerchief her great-grandmother fashioned into a bonnet that she wore as a baby.

Ring bearers were Wilder Hardcastle and Kohen Hardcastle, nephews of the bride.

Flower girls were Andie Kate Hardcastle, of Temple, niece of the bride, and Julia Grace Massey, of Temple, niece of the groom.

Addy Hardcastle, of Gatesville, sister of the bride, served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Raina Hardcastle, of Gatesville, sister of the bride, Lyndsey Hardcastle, of Gatesville, sister of the bride, Ashley Hardcastle, of Temple, sister-in-law of the bride, Victoria Massey, of Temple, sister of the groom, Meredith Winkler, of Beaumont, cousin of the bride, and Bailee Armstrong, of Gatesville, friend of the bride.

Serving as best man was Ethan Reynolds, of Houston, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Riley Massey, of Temple, brother-in-law of the groom, Logan Jasso of Houston, friend of the groom, Jack Regh, of Houston, friend of the groom, Seth Hardcastle, of Temple, brother of the bride, and Asa Hardcastle, of Gatesville, brother of the bride.

Following the marriage ceremony, a reception followed at Windmill Hill, which included dinner and dancing.

The bride is a 2021 graduate of Chosen Heritage Homeschool and is employed as a manager for Freezing Point Creamery in Temple. The bridegroom is a 2019 graduate of Covenant Christian School and is employed in Digital Marketing.

The couple took a wedding trip to the Great Smokey Mountains in Tennessee and now reside in Temple.
