It's birthday month in Mound

Jennifer Eberlein spent this week in McKinney helping with Andrew and Alexandra Eberlein’s twins, Maeve and Nora.

Anna Lee Terrell came over to visit with baby Hank, of Grapevine, on Tuesday.

Dave and Netta Westrup of Longview, WA spent three days visiting in Mound at the home of Mrs. Martha Ann Lawhorn and family.

The Oglesby Varsity Football Team beat Waco Methodist Home 60-12.

Amber Tippit celebrated her birthday on Sept. 14, and her son, Jakson’s was Wednesday, Sept. 25.

Several people of Mound attended the 2024 Homecoming Festival with vendors and booths at the Gatesville Independent School District Cross Country/walking path, live music, featuring Memphis Wells, 2024 GHS Seniors Walk up Marshall Street, pep rally with band, cheer and dance at Cross Country/walking path, and the lighting of the GHS.

This year, the GHS Homecoming King and Queen were Roman Perez and Mary Trejo who were crowned during halftime. Gatesville High School Band performed after the homecoming game Friday evening. Several of the GHS classes had their annual reunions Saturday evening in Gatesville.

Several people of Mound attended the 23rd Annual Spurfest at the Coryell Museum and the 38th Annual 2024 Cruzin Cruzers Car Show in Gatesville Saturday afternoon.

Several people of Mound attended the funeral service of Mr. Bobby Gene Harrington on Saturday at Coryell Community Church in Gatesville.

Several people of Mound attended the funeral service of Mr. F.B. (Smitty) Smith in Gatesville at Scott’s Funeral Home.  Mr. and Mrs. F.B. Smith used to live in the Mound Community. They both will truly be missed.
