Lady Eagles make history as state champions

Jonesboro's Lady Eagles softball team made school history on Wednesday, May 29, when they captured the title of 1A State Champions.

The Lady Eagles were coached by husband and wife team, Cody and Amanda LeCroy, who are first-time coaches for Jonesboro High School. The team beat Neches, 3-1 , to capture the state trophy. See next week's Gatesville Messenger for more details.
