Miss Olivia Lois Long honored on seventh birthday

Ray and John Stephens have returned home from a trip to Choudrant, LA., where they visited with some of their friends.

Miss Olivia Lois Long was honored for her seventh birthday with a swimming party Sunday afternoon at the home of her grandparents, David and Pam Hopson. The party was given by her parents (Zach and Amanda Long) and sister, Aubree Long. Those attending were family and friends.

The Oglesby Tigers Varsity football team won their game Friday evening with the score of 62-12 against the Marble Falls Faith Academy Varsity football team.

Valerie Ferrell and Carolyn Blakley had lunch in Gatesville on Tuesday.

Jerry and Brenda Helms met Neil and Christy Helms in Hillsboro Wednesday for dinner.

Last Saturday, Jerry and Brenda Helms, along with Carolyn and Emma Blakley, had lunch in Gatesville at the Sale Barn Café.

David, Pam, Frank, Susie, Paul and Rachel Hopson, Zach and Amanda Long attended the wedding of Miss Alysa Wheeler and Weston Craig Tietze in Boerne and attended the reception at the Dos Palomas Ranch Saturday evening. While there, Paul and Rachel Hopson and their children met DeElva Grubb in La Vernia with her children, Noah, Benjamin, and Emma Hopson to spend the night at the home of Matt and Kaylee Edwards.

Zach, Amanda, Aubree, and Olivida Long spent last weekend at the Fall Bluegrass Festival at Oakdale Park in Glen Rose.

Several people of Mound attended the 2024 Heart O’ Texas Fair and Rodeo at the Extraco Events Center Coliseum in Waco starting Thursday, Oct. 3 through Oct. 13.
