Folks Around Town

Say hello to our neighbor, Jana Dixon Carpenter!

Posted

Jana Dixon Carpenter is a dedicated, passionate, and tenacious real estate agent/broker at Dixon Realty Team which is powered by Keller Williams with experience in the real estate industry. Her love for people, willingness to think outside the box, and creativity make her a strong real estate agent. Her father and James Dixon were thrilled when she carried the family name into real estate. Before embarking on her real estate career, Jana was a Physical Education Teacher at Gatesville ISD for 24 years and the owner of Expectations Gymnastics and Dance for 34 years. Jana takes great pride in helping clients find their dream homes and being a part of their journey. Born and raised in Gatesville, fifth generation of Coryell, Jana is deeply rooted in her community. After living in Gatesville for 56 years, it has given Jana deep roots and a profound love for the community. She cherishes the joy of walking into a business and seeing friends and capturing the small-town feel despite the community's growth. Many wonderful memories have been created in this small town, with one of Jana's favorite places being the Gatesville City Ball Park. The Arnold Field is named after her great uncle, and she expressed that it is heartwarming to watch her grandkids, Khloe and Kinsley, with other grandparents supporting their grandkids, just as they once supported their own children. “The most defining characteristic of small-town life is the sense of community. In a small town, people are not just neighbors: They are friends, family, and support systems,” she said. “There’s an unspoken rule in this community, you look out for each other. Whether it’s helping a neighbor with a repair, coming together for a town event, or simply offering a kind word on a tough day, the bonds formed in small towns are strong and enduring.”

Jana reads The Gatesville Messenger and said, “I love that the Gatesville Messenger truly captures the heart of our community. It’s not just a newspaper; it’s a reflection of the people and events that make Gatesville unique. From local news to heartfelt stories about our neighbors, it brings us all a little closer together. Plus, it's always great to see how the Messenger supports local events and businesses, helping to keep our small town vibrant and connected.”

If you happen to see Jana around town, say hello! She is one of us!
