Jonesboro FFA to hold awards banquet on May 16

Jonesboro Independent School District Future Farmers of America will hold their annual awards banquet on Tuesday, May 16. The banquet will be held at the Jonesboro Community Center located at 11625 TX-36, and will commence at 6:30 p.m.

There will be meals provided for the guests at no cost. Donations will be accepted.

The Jonesboro Future Farmers of America program gives students the opportunity to show livestock at the county fair and various other major shows in the Spring, as well as attending meetings to obtain knowledge about Future Farmers of America.

The nationally known Future Farmers of America organization was first established in 1928 in Kansas City.
