Maddox McAndrew named winner of VFW Patriot's Pen essay contest

Gatesville Intermediate School announced Maddox McAndrew as the winner of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Patriot’s Pen essay contest. Annually, the contest is conducted nationwide to encourage students to use their knowledge of America’s history to write essays expressing their view on an annual patriotic theme.
