Wendy has served as the City Secretary for the City of Gatesville for 13 years and has been employed with the city for over 30 years. She enjoys supporting the City Council and city staff with city projects and continuing efforts to make Gatesville an excellent place to live and work. She has lived in Gatesville since 1977. When asked what her favorite thing about Gatesville is, she said, “That we are able to live the slower-paced life, neighbors know one another and we recognize each other when we are out and about in town, and we look out for one another, and work together.”
Wendy likes to read The Gatesville Messenger and said, “We can read about what is happening in our town and the surrounding communities - local news and activities our citizens really want to know and need to be informed about including city and county activities, school and sports highlights, healthcare updates, and church activities. It’s great to have a hometown newspaper that highlights and makes us aware of who’s doing great things for our community and lets us learn about local businesses, fundraisers, and events that matter so much to all of us!”
