The Gatesville Senior Center will host a ‘Seniors Against Scams’ presentation on Wednesday, July 17, at 10 a.m.
Coryell Health RehabLiving at the Meadows Administrator, Maranda May, will be the guest speaker and will discuss various topics regarding how to keep senior citizens safe from scams.
According to ncoa.org, “Internet scams targeting older adults are on the rise. In fact, in 2023, most internet fraud complaints were filed by adults ages 60 plus with losses in that group reaching a staggering $3.4 billion.”
