Summer meal program continues at Gatesville ISD

Gatesville Independent School District will provide meals at no cost again this summer for children ages 18 or younger and enrolled students who are up to 21 years of age with disabilities.

The program began serving meals on Tuesday, May 28, and will continue through Friday, July 26.

The following are locations where breakfast and lunch will be served:

Gatesville Elementary School, located at 2537 East Main Street will provide meals Monday through Friday. Breakfast will be served from 8-8:30 a.m., lunch will be served from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., and the sit-down meals will be served in the cafeteria. Adults will cost $3.10 for breakfast and $4.75 for lunch.

Trinity Day Care Center, located at 1506 West Main Street in Gatesville, will provide meals Tuesday through Thursday. Breakfast will be served from 8-8:30 a.m., and lunch will be from 11-11:30 a.m.

The Gatesville City Pool, located at 300 South 8th Street will provide meals Tuesday through Thursday. Lunch will be served from 12:30-1 p.m.

Gatesville High School will provide meals Monday through Thursday at the High School football field concession stand. Breakfast will be served from 8-8:30 a.m., and lunch will be served from 10:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Adults will cost $3.10 for breakfast and $4.75 for lunch.

The Summer Meal programs are brought to the community by the Texas Department of Agriculture, Commissioner Sid Miller.
