For those wanting to hang out by the water for Independence Day, the Gatesville City Pool will remain open on July 4 from noon to 6 p.m.
The pool includes a one-meter diving board, six swimming lanes, and three children’s slides. Amenities include restrooms, showers, a baby pool, patio furniture, shaded areas, and concessions stand.
Normal hours of operation are Tuesdays from noon-8 p.m., Wednesdays from noon-6 p.m., Thursdays from noon-8 p.m., Fridays from noon-6 p.m., Saturdays from noon-6 p.m., and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The pool is closed on Mondays.
The City Pool is located at 300 S. 8th Street.
Splash Park
Another way to cool down this summer is at The Gatesville Splash Pad at Raby Park, which is open as of May 1, 2024.
Raby Park is located at 910 Bridge Street. Operating hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day. Admission is free.
