RehabLiving at the Meadows recognized Father’s Day by hosting a 50’s themed Dad’s Diner party, which included live music by the Troubadours. The afternoon consisted of a car show where Mr. Fueston won the Residents Choice Award for Best in Show with his cherry red 1953 Chevy Bel Air. The party also consisted of root beer floats, snacks, and a photo booth. Hillside Medical Lodge celebrated Father’s Day by throwing a party with the theme “Take me out to the ballgame.” The residents enjoyed music, nachos, popcorn, cokes, Baby Ruth’s, Cracker Jacks, and more. Activities Director Kami Williams brought her grandfather’s vintage baseball glove, and Admissions Director Carrie Jones brought her father’s wooden baseball bat for a photo shoot. The Gatesville Senior Center also honored the fathers within their facility for Father’s Day this past week with live music played by Ray Veach and Mike Pruett and family. The congregation enjoyed a fish fry and their monthly birthday celebrations.
