Mother Neff presents Mother’s Day program on May 13

Posted

Join Mother Neff State Park for a special Mother’s Day program on Saturday, May 13. The legacy of Isabella Neff, Mother Neff will be honored, and Mother Neff State Park will share the park’s history over the past 100 years, while guests enjoy coffee, cake, and company. The program will give people the opportunity to come and go between the hours of 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.

The parks history starts with one mother’s ability to bring the community together and Mother Neff State Park wishes to accomplish the same by offering a cabin open house to hear stories of the park’s history, the legacy of the CCC company 817, and how it is now a Legacy Park.

Be sure to stop at the park’s headquarters to obtain a permit for the park entry. The cost will include park admissions only, for two dollars per person and children 12 and younger are free. Limited parking will be provided at the cabin for those unable to hike a short distance to get to the location.

The program is sponsored by the Mother Neff State Park Association.

Mother Neff State Park is located at 1921 Park Road 14 in Moody.
