Mound Cowboy Church and White Mound Baptist Church are having their annual VBS Sunday June 9 through June 13, from 6-8:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. each evening. Parents Night is June 13. This year's theme is Barrier Rock Beach. Everyone aged 3 years through 6th grade are welcome to come and enjoy the fellowship.
Kinsley McPherson was honored on her 17th birthday with a trip to New Braunfels, given by her parents, Mark and Kelli McPherson. Those who attended were her family and friends.

Zach, Amanda, and Olivia Long attended the Gospel Bluegrass Festival at Salmon Lake Park this past weekend in Grapeland. Olivia said her favorite part of the trip was the wreath making, and Zach enjoyed the jam sessions, playing his guitar.
Matti Dixon, a graduate from Oglesby High, was honored Sunday afternoon with a graduation party. She was valedictorian of the Class of 2024. Hostesses were Leisha Martin, Sue Jones, Holly Jones, Carol Jones, Judy Cullar, Peggy Vaden, and Linda Blanchard.
Neil and Christy Helms came Monday for Memorial Day and had lunch. Minnie Wright and Bettie Blakley visited on Sunday.
