Tiger cross country competed in district meet

The Oglesby Tiger high school and junior high cross-country teams recently competed in a meet at Troy Independent School District where over 544 runners attended.

The girls junior high team won fifth place as a team. Individually, Vicky Mejia won sixth place, Malorie Renner won 26th place, Adelyn Gomez won 36th place, Daycee Roberts won 46th place, and Keelyn Riley won 49th place.

Junior Varsity Girls

  • Gracee Isaacks won sixth place.
  • Emma Sanchez won 12th place.

Caitlyn Battreal won 58th place for the varsity girls’ team.

Rancher Jeffcoat won 63rd place for the junior high boys’ team.

Varsity Boys

David Mejia won 36th place.

Couper Wulfkuhle won 53rd place.

Rolando Gonzalez won 75th place.

On Wednesday, Oct. 2, the Oglesby varsity and junior varsity girls’ and boys’ teams traveled to Hamilton for their district meet.

Caitlyn Battreal won 37th place and Maddison Smith won 56th place for the varsity girls.

Gracee Isaacks won second place and Emma Sanchez won eighth place for the junior varsity girls.

Varsity Boys

  • Couper Wulfkuhle won 20th place and obtained a personal record (PR) time.
  • David Mejia won 21st place.
  • Gunner Riley won 42nd place and obtained PR time.
  • Rolando Gonzalez won 51st place and obtained PR time.
